Love this. Super useful advice for life! “One must never mistake the party for the purpose” is close to my favourite here but the best (for me anyway and for today at least) is this: "To envy the admired is to dim one’s own candle”. Wise words indeed!
I, too, will happily read your debut. How exciting! I was just looking for it and it appears that there is a bird named Townsend's Solitaire that "provides a dreamlike soundtrack to an enchanting environment." I think that bodes well for your novel (somehow).
I stumbled across this article and am so happy I did. I look forward to reading Godstorm and hopefully more from this very talented writer.
Thanks so much Anne! Hopefully I won't trip over the footman.
What a way to frame debuting ❤️ I can only imagine how Godstorm reads.
Thanks for the peek behind the scenes!
Thank you Malek. My wonderful main character, Arrow, is more likely to wield a sword than flutter a fan. But she does it all in corsets and a bonnet!
Thanks for being authentic. Tis a rare thing nowadays.
Thanks so much Dwight. Seems like we all need to be a bit more human!

Those ladies knew what they were talking about!

Yes! I didn't know the 'Townsend's Solitaire' existed until my 30's - now they are my totem bird. Hope my writing lives up to them ;-)
